OTA is pleased to announce the global premiere and first public screening of "The Potluck Society: An OTA Journey” to be held at the Milbank High School Auditorium on May 5, 2017, from 7:00PM to 9:00PM.

This film is the result of a partnership with OTA, a Sioux Falls-based nonprofit founded by Milbank native Hugh Weber, which celebrated and connected creatives and community builders throughout Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota from 2009-2016. Over the past eight years, OTA has convened 11 large-scale events, hosted over 150 national thought leaders, commissioned 35 micro-documentaries, and invested approximately $2 million in the creatives who call the region home.

As OTA begins the next chapter, Hugh spends a week on the road reconnecting with people and places that were significant to the OTA journey, finding stories of creative risk, rich community conversations and giant expressions of creativity along the way. The film runs 90 minutes long and will be screened with a Q&A and group conversation to follow.

The film is directed by Milbank High School graduate Christian Jensen, and produced by his creative partner Kylee Leonetti. Kylee and Christian own a Minneapolis-based film & production company called Kylee and Christian Creative, and previously produced the "I Believe In Milbank" video.

As a special note, the film prominently features Milbank, the new art installation near the Old Grist Mill, and Grant County Economic Development Corporation Executive Director, Bobbie Bohlen.

This event is possible through partnership with South Dakota Public Broadcasting and a grant from the Bush Foundation.
