The Whetstone Arts Council would like to invite regional artists to submit application to be a part of the Milbank Sculpture Garden.  The Sculpture Garden saw its first successful year in 2015.  Five artist were selected in early 2015 to display their pieces next to the Visitor Center.   This year the WAC hopes to expand the Sculpture Garden to main street and add three additional pieces.  Applications for this exhibit can made by contacting Bobbie Bohlen  whetsoneartscouncil@gmail.com .  All sculptures should be suitable for outdoor display.   WAC leases the pieces that are chosen for year at a time.

Currently there are 6 pieces on display by 5 different artist.  All of the pieces are currently for sale except for one piece which has been sold and will remain behind the visitor center.  All of the remaining pieces are for sale by the artists, if a  piece sells while it is on display a portion of that goes to the WAC to underwrite the cost for the exhibit.  More information about purchasing any of the existing pieces can be obtained by contacting the WAC  at whetsoneartscouncil@gmail.com IT is the goal of the WAC council to grow the exhibit every year by adding pieces and selling pieces that remain in the Community.  We are fortunate to have several local artists in Milbank.  Jacque and Paige Frazee both have pieces on exhibit this year, anyone who is interested can apply.
