The Xcel Energy Foundation presented a $4000 check to the Milbank Community Foundation on December 14. The funds are earmarked for the Grant County Development Corporation.

Eric Pauli, who serves as Excel’s community relations manager in Sioux Falls, presented the check. Pauli says he is excited to team up with the GCDC to foster economic development in Grant County.

Pauli, who grew up in Grant County and graduated high school in Milbank, says he still has family and many ties to the area. He shared stories about his time in Milbank and more importantly his love for small towns and rural development in South Dakota.

Pauli says the donation from the Xcel Energy Foundation is “a way for the company to give back and show continued support for growth and prosperity in the region.” The. company, through its foundation, granted $136,000 to nonprofit agencies in 2019.
