Valley Queen Cheese - IT Application Support Specialist

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (rotating on-call every 5 weeks, including evenings/weekends)

What You’ll Do

We’re looking for someone who loves solving problems and making technology work better for people. In this role, you’ll help keep our software running smoothly so employees can do their jobs efficiently. You’ll handle support requests, troubleshoot issues, and work on improving and implementing applications that support our business.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Helping employees and teams use software effectively and securely.

  • Researching and testing new software solutions that fit company goals.

  • Assisting with planning, design, and training for new applications.

  • Maintaining and updating existing applications.

  • Fixing data issues and validating results through testing.

  • Creating helpful resources like training guides and knowledge bases.

  • Keeping company information confidential at all times.

  • Comfortable working with software developers, vendors, and end users.

Education & Experience

  • Required:

    • Two years of college-level coursework in computer science, IT, or related field.

    • Solid understanding of IT practices and workflows.

  • Preferred:

    • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience).

    • Experience with system engineering, IT support, PC networks, software, and hardware.

    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Office-based role using standard technology and equipment.

  • Mostly seated work, but occasional standing and walking.

  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Other Details

  • Occasional overnight travel for training.

  • This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.

  • Must maintain confidentiality and follow company standards.

8:00 am to 5:00 pm
